Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon our arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be taken us to our hotel.  In the evening there will be a welcome dinner in a traditional Nepali Restaurant where we will be able to enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine with a brief cultural program.

Day 2.Kathmandu to Australian Camp

Today, your first day, we are driving to the starting point of your trek. The drive will be scenic and it will be about 6/7 hours depending upon the traffic. Kade is going to be your stop. From here you will start a short walk about 2.5 kms and your first night will be at  Australian Camp.

Day 3.Australian Camp - Forest Camp (11kms, 2050m)

After breakfast you will start to descend a little and cross a small village called Pothana where your permit will be checked. Today’s hike is going to be mostly in the lush green forest. Since this is still the end of the spring season, you might encounter some beautiful Rhododendron trees- the Rhododendron is Nepal’s national flower. Tonight you will be staying in a small village called Forest Camp, which consists of 3-4 houses.

Day 4.Forest Camp -High Camp (7.5 kms, 3,550m)

Your day will start after breakfast. Your hike will again continue through the same forest until Low Camp. After Low Camp the trail will be through the dense, but shorter, Rhododendron forest. If the flower is still in bloom the whole forest looks amazing from above a small village which you will see after a few 100 meters of elevation gain. After lunch the trail will be above tree line. Your final destination for the day will be High Camp. Once you get to High Camp, the view of the impressive mountains of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli and Mount Machhapuchhre will be right in front of you. 

Day 5.High Camp - Upper View Point - Badal Dada (11.6 kms, 4,200m)

Today your day will start early, well before breakfast or if you are okay to eat as early as 5 then you can have some breakfast. You will leave most of your gear back at the tea house you’re staying at because you will go to the Upper view point and come back the same way. On the left, while you are walking up the mountain, you will be able to see the valley leading towards Annapurna Basecamp which you will be following in a few days' time. When you come back from the View Point you will have your lunch and head down to your today’s destination Badal Dada.

Day 6. Badal Dada - Jhinu (14 kms 1,730m)

Your day will start after breakfast and will be one of the biggest days of the walk. You will walk 1600 meters from Badal Dada down through the Forest and end your day in Jhinu. 

Day 7. Jhinu - Dovan (12 kms, 2,550m )

Your day today starts with a steep climb up from Jhinu which will have an amazing view of the mountain Annapurna South and Hiuchuli Himal (mountain). You will cross the village of Chomrong right on top of the mountain. Chomrong is one of the biggest villages in the region and home to people from the Gurung ethnic group (one of the 123 different ethnic groups in Nepal). 

Day 8. Dovan - Machhapuchhare Base Camp (7.5 Kms, 3,550 m)

Your day will start after breakfast and follow the same oak and Rhododendron forest you went through before. You will walk along the Modi river which is coming from Annapurna Base Camp glacier and from surrounding glaciers. After this you will start to hike up the mountain and finish your day at Machhapuchhre Base Camp.

Day 9. Machhapucchare Base Camp - Annapurna Base Camp (3.5 kms, 4,130m )

It is going to be a nice and relaxing day today. After breakfast, you will trek up to Annapurna base camp. This is a very scenic day so you will enjoy the scenery and take it easy. 

Once you arrive at Annapurna Base Camp, you will be greeted by freezing glaciers, moraines, and breathtaking 360-degree views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, Tharpu Chuli, Gangapurna, and other mighty peaks. You will stay at a teahouse in Annapurna Base Camp for the night.

Day 10. Annapurna Base Camp - Bamboo (13.7 kms, 2,300m )

This morning you will be having your breakfast in the lap of the mountains and enjoy views of the world’s 10th highest mountain- Annapurna. After breakfast, you will head back down the same trail, following the Modi river down the valley to the village of Bamboo. 

Day 11. Bamboo - Jhinu ((9.2kms, 1,730m)

Today you will start your day from Bamboo Village by climbing up a set of steep stairs to Sinwa. You will then go down through Chromrong village and onto your final  destination, Jhinu. This is your last night in the mountains. Once you arrive at the village you can visit the popular Hot Springs, on the river Modi if you wish. 

Day 12. Jhinu - Pokhara ( 820m)

Today you will have your final breakfast in the mountains. After breakfast, you will take a jeep across the suspension bridge to Pokhara. After an hour of drive off road, you will join the main road to Pokhara and be dropped in your hotel.

Day 13. Exploring Pokhara

Spend the day exploring the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. You can visit Phewa Lake, Bindhyabasini Temple, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, and enjoy some leisure time in Lakeside, paragliding, boating on your own, or simply relaxing with stunning views of the Annapurna range can also be an option.

This additional day allows for a more relaxed exploration of Pokhara, giving you the opportunity to take in the city's natural beauty and cultural sites before concluding your Annapurna Base Camp adventure.

Day 14. Drive to Kathmandu

Depart from Pokhara and return to Kathmandu. Rest and explore the city, shop for souvenirs
